After our first look at Everwild back in 2019, Rare revealed more information about its next game at the Xbox Games Showcase today. After their last game Sea of Thieves turned out to be a runaway success, Rare has turned its attention to this brand new IP set in a new magical world. The game promises an emotional and spiritual journey in a world replete with beautiful and stylishly visualized flora and fauna. Everwild is a multiplayer game with magic as a major component – you play as a character named Eternal who can sense magic and see how it flows through every living thing. We sensed an underlying message of non-violence and harmonious cohabitation in the game.
There was no gameplay, or an announcement of a release date. The game is currently in development for PC and Xbox Series X. Tune in to Gameffine for more news about the Xbox Games Showcase!
