ATOM RPG is a damn good role-playing game. In fact, it’s more of a quasi-sequel to the old-school Fallouts and wears its inspiration on its sleeves. That’s why it’s so great to hear that ATOM RPG is coming to mobile platforms. Let’s face it, mobile platforms are in dire need of more good RPGs that aren’t shameless cash-grabs or better yet, Raid: Shadow Legends.

ATOM hopes to fill that void when it releases on iOS May 29 for $10.99. AtomTeam announced via a press release that the date of the Android version will be announced later.

Here’s how ATOM RPG will look like on the iPhone and iPad:

The mobile version has several new features that optimize the gaming process. Firstly, it’s the perfected game interface, that allows the player to interact with their character and the game world with the touchscreen as easily as with the mouse and keyboard on the PC version. Reading is also very comfortable due to enlarged fonts and new, optimized dialogue window. The player can freely switch between touch point and tap controls and direct character manipulation with the use of an on screen joystick.

The mobile version also features a single account that allows safe transfer between different game versions. A player who enjoyed Atom RPG on the move with the mobile version, can instantly transfer his save file to the PC version and continue playing with the same character on another device, seamlessly.

About the game

ATOM RPG is a post-apocalyptic roleplaying game with turn-based combat. Its style resembles old classic computer roleplaying games like Fallout 1-2 and Wasteland. The setting is the USSR after an all-out nuclear war with the West. The player character is a member of ATOM a secret organization with a goal to restore the previous way of life and rebuild civilization in the so-called Soviet Wastes.

There are very different quests in the game. Through the course of the game, the player will get to solve a murder mystery by talking with the suspects, catch a serial killer following a trail of clues, solve various text puzzles and riddles, solve a logic puzzle, outsmart an AI, talk to a pig after creating and drinking a certain potion. The player will face a gang of barbarians with a way to join them, or make them leave without bloodshed, meet people possessed by a dangerous parasite. The player will get to craft thousands of weapons and items via the game’s crafting system, read books, help characters write and publish books, will become an actor in a movie, will get various followers with their own unique personalities, will get to speak to almost a thousand NPCs each with their own dialogue and portrait that’s unique in every way, will be able to learn various combat styles using all sorts of weapons both real and made-up. And many more.
