A few days back we were talking about an upcoming massive update for Red Dead Online, and well, we did not have to wait for long at all! The new Update 1.20 adds a mindboggling amount of content to the multiplayer component of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 and it is live right now on PC, Xbox One and PS4! The clowns can now stop their protest, I hope!
- A new frontier pursuit role called The Naturalist where you track and study wild animals
- New NPC characters like conservationist Harriet Davenport and big game hunter Gus Macmillan
- A brand new Animal Field Guide – a compendium featuring the abundant species found across all of the frontier’s distinct habitats
- New advanced camera from the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue which offers increased mobility and a set of filters
- New weapons like the customizable Improved Bow and the Elephant Rifle, and sedative ammo.
- Animal sighting assignments will lead you to unique Legendary Animals (with more being added in the upcoming weeks)
- New tonic recipes, skills, emotes, outfits, saddles, bags, and trinkets
- Unlock Wilderness Camps by progressing in the role
- Free roam events – defend animals from poachers and raid their camps, tag and sedate animals to obtain blood samples
- Updated daily challenge rewards
- Five new dynamic events
- new horse breed – The Gypsy Cob
- Over 250 fixes, balancing adjustments and general improvements
- Free gifts and Early Access bonuses
- Third Outlaw Pass available for 40 gold bars – membership period from 28 July to 19 October
